About the role
Teach Chemistry and Physics to high school students in grades 9-12 at White House Heritage High School.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Instruct students on advanced concepts in Chemistry and Physics.
- Evaluate student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects.
- Mentor students, providing guidance and support outside of class hours.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance curriculum and student learning experiences.
Requirements
- Current teaching certification in Chemistry and Physics at the high school level.
- Experience teaching in a high school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Physics.
- Master's degree in Education preferred.
Skills
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools.
Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The teacher will follow the standard school schedule, including summers off.
