2026 - 2027 School Year - Chemistry Teacher

About the role

The Chemistry Teacher at Springfield High School will be responsible for teaching chemistry to students in grades 6-12. This position is open for certified teachers in the middle and high school science endorsement codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Instruct students on chemical principles, laboratory techniques, and safety procedures.
• Evaluate student progress through quizzes, tests, and projects, providing feedback and support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and share best practices.
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes critical thinking and scientific inquiry.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• A valid teaching certificate in Chemistry for middle and/or high school.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience in Chemistry.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff members.
