About the role
This is a full-time elementary school teaching position for the 2026–2027 school year, classified as a Tier I ES Teacher under the negotiated salary schedule.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and social-emotional growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including students with IEPs and English-language learners.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and families to support student achievement.
- Participate in professional-learning communities, staff meetings, and district-mandated training.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior, and materials in accordance with school and district policies.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Complete required documentation, including lesson plans, progress reports, and student assessments.
Requirements
- Valid Nevada Department of Education license with an elementary (K–8) endorsement.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of elementary pedagogy, curriculum, and assessment practices.
- Ability to pass a fingerprint-based background check and meet all district hiring requirements.

Pay
Starting salary for a Tier I ES Teacher (2026–2027 school year) is $48,995, with annual step increases based on years of service and additional stipends for advanced degrees or certifications.
Schedule
- 185-day contract year (August–June).
- Teacher workday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
- Additional paid duty days for professional development, planning, and parent conferences.
