About the role

Elementary Teacher responsible for delivering instruction in core academic subjects to students in grades K–5.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations; use data to inform instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and school activities.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

Requirements

• Must possess, or be able to acquire by time of appointment, a valid Nevada Department of Education teaching license.
• Must hold certification in the relevant elementary subject area.
• Meet all minimum qualifications listed on the position vacancy announcement.
