About the role

Elementary School Teacher responsible for delivering instruction in core academic subjects to students in grades K-5.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards
• Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and administrators to support student success
• Participate in professional development opportunities and implement new strategies
• Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior intervention strategies
• Integrate technology into instruction to enhance learning
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee

Requirements

• Valid Nevada teaching license with an elementary endorsement (or ability to obtain one)
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional strategies
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred
