About the role

White House Heritage Elementary School seeks a certified teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is for 5th grade.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subjects aligned with state standards.
• Create and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units of study.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
• Valid teaching license in Tennessee.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience at the elementary level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
