About the role

A dedicated Special Education Generalist Self-contained teacher is needed to provide instruction to students with diverse needs in a self-contained classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique learning needs.
• Collaborate with other special education teachers, school psychologists, and administrators to support student success.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in a self-contained classroom.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and adapt to changing classroom dynamics.

• Knowledge of current special education best practices and standards.
• Experience with data-driven decision making and assessment tools.

• $55,000 - $65,000 annually.
