About the role

Responsible for providing specialized education to students with autism spectrum disorders in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with other special education professionals, families, and community resources to support student growth.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid teaching license/certification in special education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
  • At least two years of experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders.
  • Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and effective strategies for supporting students with these conditions.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to special education.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
