About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-Contained position at THE TRANSFORMATION NETWORK is responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education and experience working with students who require individualized attention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and goals.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and related service providers to support student learning and development.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in the classroom.
• Evaluate student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• A current teaching license or certification in Special Education.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a self-contained classroom setting.
• Experience working with students with disabilities and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
