2026/2027 Adjunct Lecturer- Modern U.S. History

Summary

The Department of History at SUNY Brockport is accepting applications for part‑time adjunct faculty openings. The positions will be in‑person and focus on teaching modern U.S. history.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the Department of History, specifically in modern U.S. history.
• Engage in experiential and hands‑on education when appropriate.
• Produce effective course materials.
• Achieve student learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject area from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized institution, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Work experience in the relevant subject area.
• Past teaching experience.

Salary

$5,500 stipend per 3‑credit course or 3‑credit course equivalent. May be benefits eligible.
