About the role

You will manufacture plywood—the foundational material for walls, roofs, and floors in residential construction. By shaping the base of people’s homes, you directly contribute to creating safe and secure living environments.

Responsibilities

• Slicing: Load logs into specialized machines to slice them into thin sheets. Neatly stack the sliced sheets and prepare them for the next process.
• Drying: Place sheets into drying machines to remove excess moisture. Visually inspect each sheet after drying to ensure they are not warped or cracked.
• Laminating and finishing: Apply adhesive to sheets, layer multiple sheets, and press them into sturdy plywood. Assist in fine-tuning the sheet positioning to keep the machinery running smoothly.
• General support tasks: Perform light manual work to handle details machines cannot process automatically, and monitor the production line to ensure smooth operation.

Work environment

• You will handle wooden sheets, so the workspace has a natural wood scent.
• Product sizes vary (e.g., 0.91 m × 2.43 m, 0.91 m × 1.82 m), with weights ranging from 4 kg to 15 kg per sheet.
• Onboarding includes a training period; full proficiency is typically achieved within about one month.
• While the workspace can get warm in summer, spot coolers are used for heat mitigation.
• During interviews, you can view videos of the actual work and factory environment.

Requirements

• No prior manufacturing experience required; remote interviews available without a resume.
• Candidates with manufacturing or shift-work experience are especially welcome.

• Active workforce includes men and women aged 20 to late 40s.
