Duties Supervise 5-10 employees in a distribution environment on a shipping dock, the employees are responsible for: palletizing cartons, metering orders, manifesting paperwork, wrapping, staging, loading, working reports, following company policy/procedures & safety measures and staying for OT as required Monitor the continuous flow of distribution to customers both domestic/international Prepare and ship orders according to work flow agenda (wave schedule); meeting daily financial projections.Participate daily in all work related department tasks when and where needed to reach projections.Responsible for scanning on the dockOversee all departments/employees from 3am-5amOversee Full Case duties on Saturday and when needed throughout the week Requirements College degree or commensurate work experienceSupervisory experienceExperience working in a distribution warehouseExperience delegating workExperience meeting daily quotas/standardsAbility to work well and effectively under pressureShipping dock experienceEquipment certifications: forklift and pallet jackExcellent communication skills both written and verbalComputer skills: EOT, WMS, AL, Scheduling websiteMS office, including intermediate Access capabilities.Ability to communicate effectivelyAbility to motivate employeesAbility to adhere to all safety standards & company policy/proceduresAbility to stand on feet for entire shift and walk long distancesAbility to lift 50 lbsWork daily OT and weekends as neededSchedule flexibility as work dictates SCHEDULED WORK HOURS: 1st shift:- Tuesday-Saturday 3:00am-11:00am (Saturday would be 5am-1pm) LOCATION: Riverside Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE).
