1st Shift Powder Coat Loader Lead

About the role

The Powder Coat Loader Lead assists the supervisor in managing the team, trains new employees, acts as the department safety champion, performs departmental tasks, verifies accuracy and quality, inspects for damages or defects, records issues, and notifies the supervisor. Other responsibilities include operating department material handling equipment, assisting in routine equipment maintenance, following departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, identifying parts related to work orders, occasionally driving forklifts, selecting proper hanging devices, and using an overhead crane to handle heavy parts.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in managing team members’ work in completion of tasks
• Verifying accuracy and quality
• Inspecing for damages or defects, records issues, and notifies supervisor
• Maintaining department database, prepares routine reports, and files records
• Operating department material handling equipment and assisting in routine equipment maintenance
• Selecting proper hanging devices
• Using overhead crane to handle heavy parts
• Identifying parts related to work orders
• Occasionally driving forklift to move product

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Experienced forklift truck operator

Education and Experience

Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience as a forklift truck operator.

ADA Requirements

ADA requirements include heavy work, such as exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, visual acuity, and protection from weather conditions are also part of the job conditions.

Pay

The pay range for this position is USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 per hour.
