Job Summary
Job Location
WebstaurantStore is seeking candidates for an entry-level leadership position in its Distribution Center. The 8-week rotational program aims to prepare participants for a leadership role within the company.
Responsibilities
- Develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
- Maintain departmental goals of the distribution center
- Coach and train employees on best practices
- Analyze opportunities for growth, cost reduction, damage prevention, and efficiency improvements
- Continuously improve productivity targets and processes
- Lead employees to fulfill their potential
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
- Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 75 lbs
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
- Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and gases
- Noisy work environment
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of leadership experience working with a team of more than 15 employees preferred; experience working in a distribution environment preferred but not required
- Education: No degree required; relevant skills and experience valued above all else
- Desired Traits & Skills: Initiative, self-starter, motivation, determination, proficiency with MS Office, fast-paced environment, analytical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, diplomatic communication, passion for supply chain management, maturity, responsibility, and leadership ability
- Work Requirements: Full shift of 8 to 10 hours, adherence to codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, and attendance policies
