Job Summary

Job Location

WebstaurantStore is seeking candidates for an entry-level leadership position in its Distribution Center. The 8-week rotational program aims to prepare participants for a leadership role within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
  • Maintain departmental goals of the distribution center
  • Coach and train employees on best practices
  • Analyze opportunities for growth, cost reduction, damage prevention, and efficiency improvements
  • Continuously improve productivity targets and processes
  • Lead employees to fulfill their potential

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  • Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 75 lbs

Work Environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
  • Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity
  • Exposure to dust, fumes, and gases
  • Noisy work environment

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of leadership experience working with a team of more than 15 employees preferred; experience working in a distribution environment preferred but not required
  • Education: No degree required; relevant skills and experience valued above all else
  • Desired Traits & Skills: Initiative, self-starter, motivation, determination, proficiency with MS Office, fast-paced environment, analytical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, diplomatic communication, passion for supply chain management, maturity, responsibility, and leadership ability
  • Work Requirements: Full shift of 8 to 10 hours, adherence to codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, and attendance policies
