The leaders and managers within the Distribution Center play a crucial role in developing our business and meeting the purchasing needs of foodservice professionals worldwide. Our rotational program is designed for candidates interested in pursuing a leadership career in operations and supply chain management.

  • Teach you about each area of our supply chain and provide functional, practical knowledge of The Webstaurantstore’s goals and initiatives.
  • Experience each segment in our day-to-day operations from inbound to outbound, including receiving, picking, packing, consolidating, shipping, inventory control, and returns.
  • Develop new ideas and tools to support the growth of our business and ensure the best service is delivered to our customers.
  • Prepare you for a leadership role at our McCarran, Nevada, warehouse.
  • Provide clear, frequent communication to all teams regarding the distribution center's productivity, company policies, and procedures.
  • Motivate employees to keep pace with our explosive growth while maintaining challenging deadlines.

Physical Requirements: Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching. Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

  • Leadership experience working with a team of more than 15 employees preferred.
  • Experience working in a distribution environment preferred, but not required.

This position is responsible for providing clear, frequent communication to all teams regarding the distribution center's productivity, company policies, and procedures. An essential function of the leadership is to motivate employees to keep pace with our explosive growth while maintaining challenging deadlines.

Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Exhibit analytical thinking and problem-solving. Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts concisely and straightforwardly to ensure ease of understanding. Passion for supply chain management and constant process improvement. Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and leadership ability. Work a full shift, typically 8 to 10 hours. Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policies. Business proficiency requires the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Working Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, as well as exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
