About the role

Join a specialized team at Quad’s CR/T facility, where we manufacture the specialized inks and resins that support Quad's operations nationwide. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in keeping our chemical processing equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environment—not a traditional print shop.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and processing systems
  • Work on pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, augers, pneumatic systems, and other industrial equipment
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Install new equipment and support facility improvement projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Partner with operations teams to keep production running safely and efficiently
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safety standards

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of mechanical experience
  • Experience rebuilding rotary vane pumps
  • Strong skills in pipe fitting, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and blueprint reading
  • Familiarity with metric measurements and mechanical tolerances
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory and safety protocols
  • Able to work at heights and operate high-lift equipment
  • Must have or be willing to acquire basic hand tools
  • Physical ability to lift to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive hand/wrist movements

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with ink or chemical processing equipment is a plus

Skills

  • Technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Welding and pipe fitting skills
  • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Electrical theory and safety protocols
  • Ability to work at heights and operate high-lift equipment

Pay

$28.00–$32.00/hr (based on experience)

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts + overtime as needed
