1st Shift - Hatchery Labor- Eufaula Hatchery

About the Role

This position is responsible for performing various hatchery tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in day-to-day hatchery operations.
• Pull hatcher baskets from hatchers to the separator room.
• Sweep out hatchers and clean and disinfect hatchers and drains.
• Move stacks of empty boxes (approx. 70 lbs) using a dolly.
• Move buggies containing eggs with a dolly.
• Clean, mop, and buff hatchery floors.
• Monitor hatchers and setters as required by management.
• Run chick trays, flats, and boxes through the tray washer; place flats in farm racks.
• Train to operate the separator.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be willing to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to learn and/or understand machines.
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours, bend, squat, push, pull, and lift approximately 10 lbs repetitively.
• Must be able to work in a dusty environment with high allergens such as chick down.
• Must be able to work in a warm/humid environment.
• Must wear PPE and follow all safety policies and procedures.
