About the role

This is a non-exempt, 1st shift position in Department 500 at our Prairie Du Sac, WI facility.

Schedule

Hours: 5:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Pay

Starting wage: $22.48 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe operation of various material handling equipment in multiple areas
  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately and communicate them to others
  • Exhibit strong organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, with attention to detail
  • Proficiently use computer systems, programs, and perform accurate data entry and product identification
  • Adapt to changing work conditions
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
  • Participate in scheduled annual inventory days
  • Safely use scales, hoists, mobile stairs, and work at heights
  • Operate workstations in the Foundry Cleaning Room (e.g., Bench, Saw, Pedestal Grinders, Swing Saw)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to handle standard problem-solving in routine situations

Physical Demands

  • Stand or walk 100% of the shift
  • Frequent bending and lifting of 30–40 lbs. unassisted; occasional lifting up to 70 lbs. with or without assistance

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Loud noise levels
