1st Shift Custodian II - Health and Wellness Non-Store Operations

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately, but the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

About the role

We’re looking for a Custodian to support operations at our new Central Fill Pharmacy in Springfield, MO.

Responsibilities

• Assists in facility support by:
  • setting up rooms for special events
  • performing minor maintenance and repair activities
  • collecting and transporting recyclables
  • disassembling and cleaning drug dispensers
  • reporting facility issues (e.g., roof leaks, power outages) to management
• Ensures clean and sanitary facilities (e.g., offices, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, elevators, parking lots) according to:
  • company safety procedures and guidelines
  • federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, state health department regulations)
  by:
  • wearing personal protective equipment
  • emptying waste receptacles and recycle bins
  • dusting, sweeping, and wet mopping
  • stripping and waxing floors
  • cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and showers
  • vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets
  • cleaning electronic devices (e.g., microwaves, windows, air conditioner ducts, ceiling tiles)
  • identifying and reacting to additional cleaning needs
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by:
  • implementing related action plans
  • using the Open Door Policy
  • applying these in executing business processes and practices
• Completes work assignments and priorities by:
  • using policies, data, and resources
  • collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners
  • identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations
  • carrying out tasks
  • communicating progress and information
  • determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities
  • adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback

Requirements

• 1-3 years custodial background

Preferred Qualifications

• Custodial services or related field
• Driving large trucks
• Speaking in both English and Spanish languages
• Valid driver's license or eligibility to obtain a driver's license

Pay

$17.00 per hour. The hourly wage range for this position is $15.20 - $22.80. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location.

Schedule

1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.
