Department: Teaching and Learning (placed at Corona del Sol) Reports to: Instructional Technology Coordinator Placement: Classified Non-Exempt Term: See Duty Day Calendar Position Summary The instructional technology trainer's mission is to support district teachers, staff and administrators in successfully deploying technology and applications in the implementation of research-based teaching and learning pedagogies. The Instructional Technology Trainer provides ongoing professional development and on-demand training for technology solutions used districtwide to support initiatives focused on strengthening staff and students' 21st Century skills and student achievement. Training And Experience Bachelor's degree, requiredOne to five years of experience in educational technology or informational technology, requiredOne to five years of experience with problem solving, technology troubleshooting and customer service in an education or training environment, strongly preferredPrior experience with instructional design and curriculum development, strongly preferredK-12 classroom teaching experience, strongly preferredExperience utilizing enterprise Learning Management Systems, strongly preferredProject management and planning experience, strongly preferred Skill In Strong verbal, written, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skillsWriting training materials and manualsUnderstanding technical languagePresenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audienceBeing able to learn new applications with little or no formal trainingExercising problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsTroubleshooting complex issues with technologyTime-management and meeting deadlines along with multiple and changing prioritiesCustomer-service and interpersonal skills FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly Position Applicant Instructions: Please complete the online Classified application found at "Work at TUHSD" link An Equal Opportunity Employer: Tempe Union High School District is an equal opportunity employer.
