About the role

We are looking for an experienced B2B contractor to perform LiDAR and 360° mapping in California. The role involves traveling to different locations within the state, requiring comfort with travel and temporary relocation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field‑based geospatial data collection using a LiDAR system.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate the LiDAR system to ensure high‑quality, accurate data.

Requirements

• Own LiDAR equipment that meets project requirements (drone‑based, vehicle‑based, or pedestrian‑based).
• Hands‑on experience with LiDAR systems and proven expertise in setup, calibration, and operation.
• Experience with surveying or geospatial data collection.
• Willingness to travel and temporarily relocate within California.
• Availability to work with field equipment throughout the project.
• For drone‑based setups: valid US drone pilot license and proven piloting skills.
• For vehicle‑based setups: proven experience with vehicle‑mounted LiDAR (vehicle may be owned or rented).
• For pedestrian‑based setups: expertise to configure, calibrate, and operate the LiDAR sensor; GNSS/IMU integration is highly preferable.
