About the role

We are looking for an experienced B2B contractor to perform LiDAR and 360° mapping in California. The role involves traveling to different locations within the state, requiring comfort with travel and temporary relocation. Fuel and accommodation expenses will be covered.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-based geospatial data collection using a LiDAR system.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate the LiDAR system to ensure high-quality and accurate data.
• Travel to various sites across California as needed for data collection.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience with LiDAR systems.
• Own equipment that meets project requirements (LiDAR system is mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of LiDAR system setup and calibration.
• Experience with surveying or geospatial data collection.
• Willingness to travel and temporarily relocate within California.
• Availability to work with field equipment throughout the project.
• One of the following equipment setups:
  • Drone‑based LiDAR: own LiDAR system, proven experience with drone‑based LiDAR data collection, valid US drone pilot license, proven piloting skills, surveying/geospatial work experience.
  • Vehicle‑based LiDAR: LiDAR system mounted on a vehicle (owned or rented), proven experience with vehicle‑based LiDAR systems, assistance possible for licensing/documentation.
  • Pedestrian‑based LiDAR: LiDAR sensor with expertise to configure, calibrate, and operate; preferably includes GNSS and IMU; a 360° camera can be provided (advantage if owned).
