About the role
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role for experienced Freight Agents only.
Responsibilities
- Leverage your existing customer relationships to move Truckload and LTL freight
- Handle all back-office operations including billing, collections, claims, carrier compliance, and customer setup
- Sell and service your customers
- Develop and manage your accounts to earn six figures and beyond
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven Freight Agent experience
- A developed, transferable book of business
- Strong hunter mentality and consistent outbound activity
- Ability to negotiate rates with customers and carriers
- Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot preferred but not required)
- Professional communication and follow-through with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers
- Organized daily workflow with proactive follow-up and appointment setting
