10124 - Safety Supervisor

About the role

The Safety Supervisor at Barcel USA LLC is responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel on the work site. They will assist in maintaining the highest standards for both employees and equipment by adhering to corporate programs, federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the implementation of high-performance standards and adherence to procedures.
• Follow up with all departments to ensure necessary procedures are written, associates are trained, and the validation of job tasks in accordance with such procedures.
• Maintain and provide all pertinent documentation such as procedure training and accident reports.
• Work in conjunction with all departments to identify and correct unsafe conditions.
• Conduct accident investigations within 72 hours of an incident to determine causes, provide corrective action, report findings to management, and communicate results to the general plant population.
• Periodically conduct safety training in areas such as proper lifting techniques, fire protection, and plant evacuations.
• Conduct weekly safety audits to determine and report unsafe behaviors and practices and communicate such findings to supervision for corrective action.
• Guide Grupo Bimbo Safety model to achieve their goals.
• Implement Safety culture in the management and associates, perform risk assessments, implement safety guidelines, and comply with all OSHA, local and state regulations.
• Be an example of the safety culture to others, collaborate with all departments, be consumer-oriented, find new ways of working, and adapt easily to changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety related field
• Equivalent to 5 or more years of experience in safety related role
• Attention to detail
• Communication skills - verbal and computer skills
• Knowledge in various Microsoft software such as excel, PowerPoint, and word
• Problem analysis and problem solving
• Planning and organizing
• Ability to exercise sound judgment
• Teamwork
• Bi-lingual (Spanish & English)

Qualifications

• Flexible Schedule and shift (Day or Afternoon), including weekends
