1.0 FTE NIGHT CUSTODIAN FULL TIME 3:00pm - 11:30pm PM. $18.60/HOUR

Night shift custodian responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of school facilities.

Responsibilities

• Empty waste baskets daily and pencil sharpeners as needed
• Clean all chalkboards and dry-erase boards daily
• Dust window sills, counter tops, and other surfaces
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Move furniture for cleaning as needed and return neatly
• Clean doors, walls, windows, and attached hardware daily
• Remove graffiti as needed
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and locker rooms, including floors, sinks, toilets, urinals, and plumbing fixtures
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; request replacements in advance
• Keep school premises (sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, lawn areas, roof, and play areas) safe and clean
• Comply with local laws for storage and disposal of trash and waste
• Secure the building at closing: ensure doors and windows are locked, and lights are off (except security lights)
• Report any damage to school property immediately to the Head Custodian, Assistant Director, or building administrator
• Move furniture or equipment within the building as required for activities
• Comply with District energy savings programs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Custodian, Assistant Director of Buildings and Grounds, or building principal

Requirements

• Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Qualifications as deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Board

Schedule

Full-time, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (standard school-year hours; slight adjustments for winter/spring break and summer).

Pay

$18.60 per hour.
