About the role

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist acts as our industry steward, showcasing our leadership in hair color and talent development. This role combines daily sales responsibilities with specialized duties to drive customer retention, brand awareness, and market share for hair color products.

Responsibilities

• Determine customer color and care needs, offering professional advice and product recommendations.
• Communicate sales progress, customer concerns, and follow-up plans across teams and management.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Maintain high standards for color and curl merchandising, signage, and displays to align with brand guidelines.
• Stay informed on emerging trends, market changes, and industry knowledge to share with business partners.
• Perform store opening/closing procedures, including occasional bank deposits and cash handling.
• Provide color and curl/texture consulting services to salons, barbers, spas, schools, and licensed cosmetologists.
• Use market analysis to sell approved beauty products, introduce new concepts, and conduct in-store and virtual product education.
• Demonstrate company culture values and adhere to the code of ethics and behavior.

Requirements

• One year of retail or sales-focused experience.
• Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred (US and Canada).
• Reliable transportation to service designated stores and markets.
• Ability to travel to shows and sales meetings at least 3 times per year.
• Strong business acumen and ability to interpret sales reports.
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems, and visual merchandising preferred.
• Proficiency with POS applications, computers, iPads, mobile devices, and social media platforms.
• Flexibility to work additional hours based on business needs and occasional field or other store assignments.
• Strong time management, organization, and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Professional image and positive public interaction skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass a Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire.

Working Conditions

The role operates in retail stores, offices, training rooms, and occasionally in residences or commercial vehicles. Requires normal safety precautions, such as safe use of office equipment, adherence to fire regulations, and observance of traffic signals.
