About the role

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is a key position in our team, focusing on color and texture expertise, customer service, and product education.

Responsibilities

• Determine customer color and care needs and offer professional advice and recommendations.
• Communicate upward and cross-functionally regarding calls, visits, orders, status of sales progress, follow-up plans, and any assistance needed with customers, associates, and vendors.
• Ensure customer concerns and questions are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Maintain a high standard of color and curl merchandising, placement, store signage, and display techniques.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, adapt to market changes, and build industry knowledge to share with business partners.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures correctly, including making bank deposits and completing cash handling or other monetary transactions.
• Demonstrate CosmoProf/BSG Culture Values and adhere to company code of ethics and behavior.

Requirements

• One year retail or other sales-focused experience.
• Licensed cosmetologist highly preferred in US and Canada.
• Reliable transportation to effectively service designated store and market.
• Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings a minimum of 3 times a year.
• Strong business acumen and ability to read, interpret, and act on pertinent sales reporting.
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control systems, and visual merchandising.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers, iPads, mobile devices, and social media platforms.
• Commitment to working scheduled hours and flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, at all levels within and outside the organization.
• Pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire to remain in position.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of POS applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions.
