02544 Assistant Store Manager
About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction and planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage store operations, and maintain brand standards.
Responsibilities
30% Brand: Supervise associates to maximize sales/KPIs and drive customer loyalty in assigned stores. Ensure all brand standards are met such as merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.
30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and build a strong network of external candidates. Identify strengths and opportunities for associates and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with Company policies.
30% Operations: Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Utilize digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory, payroll, and store opening/closing procedures. Follow company directives, assignments, and projects.
10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety and enforce policies. Protect company assets by following inventory, cash control, and HAZMAT procedures. Analyze and utilize available reporting and tools.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred
At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred
Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability to meet business needs
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
