About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing all aspects of the store, including brand, people, and operations, while also taking full responsibility when the Store Manager is absent.
Responsibilities
- 30% Brand: Supervise and direct associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure all brand standards are met and resolve customer issues.
- 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve business objectives. Recruit and hire associates, coach, and counsel team members, and maintain positive relationships with Store Manager peers.
- 30% Operations: Manage store processes, ensure compliance with company policies, and execute digital strategies. Handle inventory, payroll, and store operations.
- 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintain a safe store environment, protect company assets, and enforce policies related to inventory, cash control, and HAZMAT.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
- At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience
- Ability to lead or support a team
- Effective communication skills
- Scheduling availability to meet business needs
- Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
