Z ASST SWIMMING

Location: 800 War Eagle Blvd., Titusville

Contract: 4 months, part-time (3 hours/day)

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years
• BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in a Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) certificate subject area OR BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university
• One of the following certifications:
  • Florida Instructional Certification (any subject) OR
  • Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5-Year or Temporary 3-Year) issued by the State of Florida Department of Education, or eligibility to apply upon offer extension
• Two years of documented sport-specific and age-level-specific (secondary) coaching experience (Varsity, Freshman, or JV)
• Extensive knowledge of swimming at the competition level
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing large groups of students/athletes
• Valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross (required for Professional 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate)

Note: Temporary Athletic Coaching Certificates are not renewable by the State of Florida. To obtain a Professional 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate, you must complete Sports-Specific, Sports Medicine, and Sports Theory courses.

Substitution: College-level coaching may substitute for high school coaching experience.
