About the role

This position is for an Assistant Swimming Coach at Bayside High School.

Responsibilities

• Coaching swimming at the secondary level (Varsity and Freshman/Junior varsity).
• Managing a team of students and athletes.
• Providing extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level.
• Substitutions for college-level coaching experience are accepted.

Requirements

• A minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age.
• A Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited program/university in a Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) certificate subject area.
• A Florida Instructional Certification (any subject).
• A Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5 Year or Temporary 3 Year).
• Two (2) years documented sport-specific and age-level (Secondary) specific coaching experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the sport at the competition level.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes.
• Three (3) to five (5) years documented sport-specific and grade-level specific coaching experience (adjustable for the school/sport).
• College-level coaching may substitute for high school coaching experience.

Qualifications/Certifications

• BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university.
• Florida Instructional Certification (any subject).
• Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5 Year or Temporary 3 Year).
