Responsibilities

Conduct short-term and long-term individual, family, couples, and group counseling sessions.

Screens and assesses referrals from parents, teachers, DCYHC staff, County Mental Health, and other agencies.

Maintains accurate, timely and confidential records on clients in accordance with local, state, and federal legal and professional requirements.

Completes necessary documentation for Medi-Cal billing, evaluation, and case management purposes.

Communicates and consults with appropriate DCYHC medical staff, staff at schools, county agencies, and other community agencies, and parents or family members.

Participates in community meetings (such as North County Outreach Collaborative and Latino Collaborative) as DCYHC representative to promote programs and community collaboration.

Conducts presentations at schools and community-based organizations as needed.

Assists Behavioral Health Manager as needed (such as assist in training and supporting interns).

Qualifications

Experience with at-risk youth and their families.

Experience with youth with a history of trauma, abuse, mental health disorders.

Licensed MFT, LCSW and LPCC preferred, Associate MFT. Associate LPCC and ASW considered.

Valid California Driver’s License.

Must have reliable transportation to commute to/from high schools and community settings.

Ability to:

Benefits

This is a grant-funded, benefited, Range B, Jefferson Union High School District position, $28.15-$49.08/hour depending on experience and education, plus additional license stipend ($0.63).

Length of employment/hours available is dependent on secured grant funding and case load.
