Youth Sports Coach - Tennis, Golf, & Pickleball

About the role

TGA Premier Sports offers a national, school-based enrichment program that brings Tennis, Golf, & Pickleball directly to children ages 3-14 years old across Wake and Durham counties. Classes typically take place on school campuses during after-school hours (between 2:00-5:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Work with children ages 3-14 in Tennis, Golf, and Pickleball classes.
• Engage with children in a fun and educational manner.
• Communicate effectively with administrators and parents.
• Transport equipment to and from class as needed.
• Complete onboarding paperwork promptly.

Requirements

• Strong passion for working with children and helping them grow.
• Willingness to step out of your comfort zone, be playful, and engage like a kid when needed.
• Great communication skills — respond quickly to messages from administrators and clearly communicate how classes went.
• A positive, reliable, professional attitude.
• A genuine passion for sports, movement, and keeping kids active.
• No prior coaching experience required — we provide all curriculum and training for Tennis, Golf, and Pickleball.
• Experience working with children in any setting (schools, camps, babysitting, volunteering, etc.).
• Afternoon (around 2:30-5:30pm) availability (2-5 days per week).
• Willingness to work short shifts (typically 1-3 hours per day).
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability and willingness to transport equipment to and from class.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test (required by partner schools).
