About the role

In this awake overnight role, you’ll be a beacon of hope and stability, helping youth with job and housing searches, life skills development, and more. You’ll foster a safe and engaging environment while maintaining clear communication with staff and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and encourage residents to carry out daily routines and achieve goals outlined in their service plans.
  • Take residents on activities, job searching, and/or to volunteer opportunities.
  • Administer resident medication.
  • Complete accurate and timely record keeping, including individual client files, daily data entry, and critical incident documentation.
  • Perform daily follow-up with email and voicemail.
  • Submit time sheets and expense reports.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other staff, including providing shift updates, medication details, and critical information.
  • Participate in bi-weekly individual supervision and weekly staff meetings.
  • Support the training of new staff and respite personnel as assigned.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and improvement of the supported housing program.

Requirements

  • High school degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with at-risk youth in a residential setting or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adolescent development, including mental health, substance abuse, trauma, attachment issues, complex family dynamics, developmental challenges, and educational issues.
  • Experience with life skills work, including meal preparation, budgeting, cleaning, personal hygiene, and job readiness/employment skills.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and set limits.
  • Commitment to the value of diversity with respect to gender, race, age, socio-economic level, sexual orientation, and religion.
  • Adherence to agency code of ethics and all policies and procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Work Environment

This position requires flexibility and travel for activities, client appointments, and other responsibilities. Shifts include days, evenings, awake overnights, weekends, and holidays, and are subject to change. The role may require sitting, standing, general use of stairs, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.

Schedule

Full-time evening position, Tuesday - Friday, 4:00 pm – 2:00 am.

Pay

Hourly wage of $21.63 plus a $2.00 shift differential.
