About the role
Soccer Stars El Paso is seeking a Youth Program Supervisor to oversee its recreational youth soccer programs throughout El Paso. The role is part-time and seasonal (fall season), with potential for continued employment in future seasons. The supervisor must be available to travel between program locations and reports to the Program Director/Owner.
Responsibilities
- Visit and supervise classes at multiple program locations
- Arrive before the coaching staff to ensure each location is fully prepared before classes begin
- Remain on-site until the final class has ended and all coaches, equipment, and participants have safely departed
- Ensure coaches arrive on time, prepared, and professionally dressed
- Observe classes and ensure coaches are delivering the Soccer Stars curriculum with enthusiasm, consistency, and age-appropriate instruction
- Provide real-time coaching, mentoring, and constructive feedback to help coaches grow professionally
- Evaluate coach performance objectively and provide clear, constructive feedback that supports continuous improvement
- Set the standard for professionalism, punctuality, organization, and accountability across all programs
- Help maintain a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment for every child
- Verify attendance and ensure children are enrolled in the appropriate classes
- Support coaches with class management and behavioral challenges when needed
- Build positive relationships with parents and serve as a trusted point of contact during site visits
- Address parent questions, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly
- Maintain timely, proactive, and professional communication with the Program Director regarding coach attendance, class quality, parent feedback, operational concerns, incidents, and follow-up items
- Communicate staffing, scheduling, and program needs promptly so issues can be addressed before they impact families or coaches
- Aid in coach onboarding, training, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain Soccer Stars' high standards of professionalism, customer service, and program quality
Requirements
- Previous experience coaching or working with young children
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate performance, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of others
- Prominent record of exceptional punctuality, reliability, and personal accountability
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to responding promptly to calls, texts, and emails during working hours
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Currently residing in the El Paso, TX area
- Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: Youth sports, Early Childhood Education, Recreation or Community Programs, Afterschool Programs, Camp Leadership, Child Development, Teacher or Instructional Coach, Staff Training or Team Leadership
- Current First Aid, CPR, or player safety certifications
- Soccer coaching experience is preferred, but strong leadership, communication, and child engagement skills are equally important
