Job Summary

Youth Program Instructors at Rock Spot Climbing are responsible for providing excellent customer service to young students and their families by running weekly classes and special programming at our facilities. Roles and Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, positive, and productive learning atmosphere, teaching hard skills and technique, interacting professionally with students and parents, implementing and monitoring lesson plans, and performing all floor staff functions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Schooling in education, recreation, or a related field preferred
  • Previous indoor rock climbing and belaying experience
  • Experience teaching/coaching a hands-on skill or sport
  • Experience working with youth of all ages
  • Ability to work nights/weekends
  • Ability to engage an audience
  • Ability to enforce rules and regulations
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Punctual and reliable
  • CPR and First Aid (or willing to acquire)

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs
