Youth Peer Advocate

Supports youth aged 5-21 facing social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, or behavioral challenges within the CFTSS program.

About the role

This part-time role involves up to 15 hours weekly, including meeting with clients in their homes and communities, developing skills related to self-advocacy, empowerment, and community connections, and attending team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Document in an electronic health record (EHR)
• Create treatment plans
• Transport youth
• Collaborate with care teams

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Youth peer advocate credential
• Lived experience with mental health or related challenges
• Prior experience working with children
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid NYS driver’s license
• Physical mobility and ability to travel

Qualifications

Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.

Schedule

Part-time, up to 15 hours per week.
