Supports youth aged 5-21 facing social, emotional, medical, developmental, substance use, or behavioral challenges within the CFTSS program.
About the role
This part-time role involves up to 15 hours weekly, including meeting with clients in their homes and communities, developing skills related to self-advocacy, empowerment, and community connections, and attending team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Document in an electronic health record (EHR)
- Create treatment plans
- Transport youth
- Collaborate with care teams
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Youth peer advocate credential
- Lived experience with mental health or related challenges
- Prior experience working with children
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid NYS driver’s license
- Physical mobility and ability to travel
Qualifications
Bilingual skills in Spanish are preferred.
Schedule
Part-time, up to 15 hours per week.
