Peer Advocate
Responsibilities
Participates as a member of the Early Intervention Services Team to provide crisis intervention, education and support services to consumers of mental health services in an effort to prevent hospitalization and unnecessary use of psychiatric screening and psychiatric emergency services.
Provides care to adult patients.
Participates as a member of an Interdisciplinary Team.
Provides education and support to consumer and/or their families.
Qualifications
- No formal education is required.
- Primary consumer who has demonstrated volunteer or paid work experience with individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $16.10 to $21.72.
