Youth Outpatient Therapist with $5000 Hiring Bonus

About the role

This position is located at the LSS Youth Resource Center in Saint Cloud and will provide support to young people experiencing housing instability and homelessness. The role focuses on connecting these youth to mental health and wellness services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to youth (ages 16-24) experiencing housing instability and/or homelessness.
• Offer skills training and education to youth and support the youth services team of professionals and volunteers.
• Contribute to the improvement of the quality of life for individuals and families by completing diagnostic assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical oversight and ensure compliance with mental health statutes.
• Engage in a vibrant, collaborative environment that values continuous professional development.

Requirements

• A Master's degree and active licensure as an LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP is required.
• Experience in diagnosing and treating a broad range of mental health disorders, using trauma-informed therapeutic approaches.
• Knowledge and experience with the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders).
• Strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal effectiveness.
• A passion for delivering high-quality, culturally competent care with a focus on social justice.
• A valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Knowledge of housing instability and homelessness, adolescent psychological development, chronic stress and PTSD, anxiety and depression, crisis intervention and risk assessment, substance use disorders and harm reduction, multicultural counseling, ethics in counseling/social work and confidentiality, diagnosis and treatment approaches.

Pay

Annual Salary of $70,000 with a $5,000 Hiring Bonus.
