Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least a master’s degree in a behavioral science discipline (must be independently licensed to practice in Arkansas).

Experience: Licensed in Arkansas as a Mental Health Professional with at least two years post-master’s experience in psychiatric or mental health setting. Must have completed hospital and clinic orientation period in order to act as a team leader.

Description

The Therapist will provide quality individual and other therapies using professional standards, and according to their licensure and or certification. The therapist will complete assessment/treatment with a variety of diagnostic tools, following best practices. The therapist will complete psychosocial/initial assessments on assigned patients in a timely/complete manner. The therapist will conduct basic crisis intervention services and make appropriate referrals as needed. The therapist will monitor effective therapy. The therapist will demonstrate a sensitivity and responsiveness to a variety of cultural values and beliefs and social determinants of health. The therapist will maintain a current level of clinical practice by selecting appropriate avenues for professional growth and routinely seeking continuing education according to best practice. The therapist will evaluate goal attainment and revise goals on an on-going basis. The therapist will perform other similar duties as assigned by supervision.
