About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Youth Ministry Leader to commit approximately twenty hours per week, fostering spiritual growth and engagement among teens within our church community.

- Enjoys working with youth while maintaining a professional manner
- Possesses a heart to understand teens' special needs and a desire to include them in the church's ministry
- Spiritual gifts: Teaching/Preaching, Leadership, Mercy
- Ministry education and experience preferred
- Pursuing or completed Seminary education
- Lives above reproach
- Subject to background check and financial inquiry
- Agrees to the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
- Valid Driver’s License required
Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate weekly youth ministry
- Provide weekly meetings on Sunday mornings (e.g., Sunday School) and Wednesday evenings
- Identify the needs and interests of teens within the church and community
- Evaluate existing programs to determine effectiveness
- Identify and develop ministry opportunities/programs for teens
- Connect visiting and local teens to the church
- Provide counseling and spiritual direction to teens individually and in groups
- Develop the youth ministry budget and track expenditures with the Budget Committee
- Plan regular events and activities, including outreach, evangelism, and discipleship
- Organize at least one mission trip or Christian camp event annually
- Coordinate and supervise recreational activities for youth
- Recruit and train volunteers to work with youth
- Meet regularly with youth ministry volunteers for prayer and event planning
- Work with the Youth Council and appoint church members as needed
- Participate in Quarterly Business Meetings and Church Council
