Youth Minister

About the role

Harmony Grove Baptist Church is a growing church in a growing community, located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. We are seeking a passionate and driven Youth Minister to lead our vibrant youth ministry. This role involves guiding middle and high school students in their spiritual growth, fostering a sense of community, and helping them navigate the challenges of adolescence through faith.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly youth group activities and events
• Develop Bible studies and lessons
• Organize retreats and mission trips
• Provide spiritual guidance to middle and high school students
• Recruit and train volunteers
• Partner with parents and build relationships with other community churches
• Manage the youth ministry budget
• Engage with the community through various channels, including our school system
• Teach the Bible and assist with Sunday school curriculum
• Participate in staff and leadership meetings

Requirements

• Committed Christian with a growing faith
• Understanding of adolescent development
• Excellent communication skills
• Creativity in engaging youth
• Ability to mentor young people effectively
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a team and commitment to the church's beliefs
• Flexibility for evening and weekend work, including overnight events

Schedule

This is a full-time position.
