Youth Minister
About the Role
Concord Baptist Church is seeking a Part-Time Youth Minister to provide biblical, relational, and missional leadership to our student ministry. We are looking for someone who loves Christ, loves students, and desires to help young people grow in their faith and become active participants in the life and mission of the church.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the church’s youth ministry.
- Teach and disciple students through biblically grounded lessons and activities.
- Build meaningful relationships with students and their families.
- Recruit, encourage, and work alongside adult youth volunteers.
- Plan regular youth activities, fellowship opportunities, retreats, and special events.
- Encourage students to participate in worship, missions, service, and the broader life of the church.
- Work cooperatively with the Pastor and other church leadership in carrying out the overall mission of the church.
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
- Agreement with the beliefs and ministry of Concord Baptist Church and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
- A genuine calling and passion for ministry to teenagers.
- Ability to communicate and teach Scripture effectively.
- Strong relational, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Previous youth ministry experience is preferred.
- Ministry or theological education is beneficial but not required.

Concord Baptist Church is located in the Bessemer, Alabama area and is committed to biblical preaching, discipleship, missions, and reaching our community with the Gospel. This is a part-time ministry position and could be an excellent opportunity for a college or seminary student, educator, bi-vocational minister, or someone called to student ministry who is looking for an opportunity to serve and grow a youth ministry.
