Responsibilities
- Monitor the students' daily routines and chores
- Attend and facilitate experiential activities, group therapy sessions and outdoor recreational activities
- Assist students with their academic and extracurricular goals
- Help manage and document behavioral issues and progress
- Provide support to students and their families
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for the students
- Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students, and respond to emergencies as needed
- Collaborate with other professionals as part of the treatment team
- Help teach values such as Responsibility, Grit, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Kindness, and Accountability to students
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain a high standard of care for students
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Able to respond effectively and efficiently in crisis situations
- Passionate about working with young people and helping them to achieve their full potential
- A bachelor's degree in a related field (such as social work, psychology, or counseling) is preferred but not required
- Experience working with teenagers or in a related field is preferred
- Must be able to pass motor vehicle record check
- First Aid & CPR certified (we may provide)
