Youth Life Coach

About the role

The Youth Life Coach contributes to AHF by leveraging extensive experience working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender variant youth, and their families. This role enhances AHF's reputation by providing one-on-one life coaching and case management services to LGBTQ youth and their families, serving as a passionate advocate for AHF's top initiatives. The position operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment where staff are accountable to multiple leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one life coaching and case management services to LGBTQ youth and their families.
• Assist young people with transitioning into adulthood and connect them to services in housing, education, health, life skills, relationships, and more.
• Deliver hands-on, real-world instruction to support youth in developing practical life skills and achieving independence.
• Uphold and promote AHF's Core Values and Mission in all activities.
• Work as part of a close-knit team in a collaborative organizational structure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1 to 2 years of Youth Services experience.
• One year of office experience and computer experience.
