About the role
The Home for Little Wanderers is an established child welfare agency founded over 200 years ago. We serve thousands of at-risk youths from birth to age 26, providing them with safe environments, supportive relationships, and paths to a better future.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and family based therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and case management for defined programs.
- Counsel and support clients in areas such as family communication, parenting skills, substance abuse, domestic violence, and past trauma.
- Coordinate resources and services for clients and families.
- Act as an advocate for the client.
- Administer written assessments, summaries, documentation, treatment plans, and safety plans.
- Submit reports, documentation, and billing in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with utilization review and quality assurance standards.
- Communicate with client collateral and providers of supportive services, including scheduling and attending case conference meetings.
- Facilitate communication between various providers and work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide quality services.
- Attend staff meetings, present client material, consult with supervisors and team members on challenging issues, and participate in regular supervision and training.
- May be required to provide support to families on a rotating schedule, utilize an on-call system, carry a mobile device, and meet certain billing requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, or Psychology (varies by program).
- Experience with behavior management systems, treatment planning, crisis intervention, case management, and providing individual, group, and/or family therapy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Department of Children and Families and other local child and family advocate agencies.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Pay
The pay range for this position is determined by the company's good faith estimate at the time of posting, subject to market conditions and budget considerations. Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, and internal equity relative to other employees in similar roles.
