What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, security-related concerns, and conditions that may require documentation or follow-up.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
