Corrections Facility Security Officer - Badge Control
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts according to post procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor movement through designated areas, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed by site policy, and report discrepancies, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related documentation in a timely manner.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
