Youth Director

About the Role

First Congregational Church in Rockford, MI is hiring a part-time Youth Director. The role involves discipling middle school and high school students, with approximately 10-15 students currently involved in youth ministry. The position requires about 8-10 hours per week plus retreats and mission trips.

Responsibilities

• Program development for youth ministry
• Christian Education and teaching of the Bible
• Recruiting and working with volunteers
• Connecting with youth in an energetic and enthusiastic manner

Qualifications

• Passion for discipling middle school and high school students
• Experience in youth ministry
• Education or experience (or both) in working with youth
• Knowledgeable in program development, Christian Education, and teachings of the Bible
• Experience recruiting and working with volunteers
• Excellent communication, organization, and people skills
• Self-starter with a team mindset

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
