About the Role
First Congregational Church in Rockford, MI is hiring a part-time Youth Director. The role involves discipling middle school and high school students, with approximately 10-15 students currently involved in youth ministry. The position requires about 8-10 hours per week plus retreats and mission trips.
Responsibilities
- Program development for youth ministry
- Christian Education and teaching of the Bible
- Recruiting and working with volunteers
- Connecting with youth in an energetic and enthusiastic manner
Qualifications
- Passion for discipling middle school and high school students
- Experience in youth ministry
- Education or experience (or both) in working with youth
- Knowledgeable in program development, Christian Education, and teachings of the Bible
- Experience recruiting and working with volunteers
- Excellent communication, organization, and people skills
- Self-starter with a team mindset
Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.
