Youth Director

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all middle and high school sacramental preparation.
• Recruit, train, and support an adequate pool of volunteers for middle and high school formation.
• Organize regular social/seasonal/special events with youth.
• Communicate with parents and staff on a regular basis.
• Cookordinate service opportunities for confirmation candidates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Studies need to include formal Catholic catechetical/theological education for at least one year.
• 4 years of work experience related to Catholic Faith Formation and parish environment.
• Experience and basic understanding of the various youth evangelization programs available to Catholic parishes, both adult and peer led.
• Active member, in good standing, of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Knowledge of Christian apologetics tailored to young people.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and catechists.
• Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks.
• Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
